Demi Moore with Costner and Hurt
Demi Moore is apparently in final talks to appear with Kevin Costner and William Hurt in the psychological drama Mr. Brooks.
According to Reuters:
The story follows a man (Costner) with a murderous alter ego (Hurt). Moore will play a tough detective whose devotion to her craft catches the attention and respect of the serial killer she is hunting, which leads to a symbiotic relationship.
Are we set to see a resurgence in Moore's career? With her starring in the big cast movie Booby, perhaps we are. Personally I've always had a thing for Moore, and I go against the grain here and say that I think she's a good actress. What I probably do agree with everyone else though is that she's had some awful choices in her movie roles.
However casting my mind back and I remember the film Mortal Thoughts which she co-produced and starred in, and then The Seventh Sign. I remember thinking how I enjoyed her performance and that she was destined for better, bigger things. I was wrong. She became a blockbuster star, and often missing on those types of roles again. Still, there were a couple that allowed her to shine.
So perhaps in her later years of her career we might see the talent come through the big blockbuster?
