Firefly returning?

Looks like Firefly really does have a chance of returning to our screens thanks to the new network CW (apparently WB and UPN are teaming up with them). According to sources they are interested in signing up the entire team for more of the series.

The story is over at E! Online and through Moviehole

Says Kristin at E! Online, "I've heard the CW is considering bringing it back as a series, miniseries or movie for next season. Hurrah! For you who missed my message board posting, on Tuesday, Nate Fillion, Summer Glau and Gina Torres were seen coming out of one of the exec buildings at Paramount, where they are putting together the new CW unit."

Boy, Torres is sexy...I mean, what was I saying...This is great news, albeit really early and we'd have no idea if Whedon was going to get involved (we would hope he would), but it would be great news don't you think? Let's start the pressure here!

I loved the series, a friend lent me his DVD set over the X'mas holidays and watched them all, I have yet to buy my own set with the newly released "Serenity".

I will miss [I'll remove the name to protect the innocent - RB] though.

But this is good news!

A new season of Firefly would be incredible news.

It's one of those rumors you don't want to get your hopes up for....but damn, my hope it there! I would love to see the series back on the small screen.

Hi Simone, yes I am here.

While you didn't explicitly state it, your post pretty much gave one of the big suprises of the Serenity movie away.

Any fan of the series who has yet to catch the film will pretty much guess whats going to happen to you know who now.

I am guessing that only those who have seen "Serenity" will flock to this topic, and that means that they already know what I mean, so for those who hasnt got a clue what "Firefly" is (oh what a shame that is!) then yes, I might have given something away inadvertently, but looking at my very innocent post, I really didnt say what happened to [Removed again! - RB]. ;-)

I'd be happier if Firefly returns.

Simone, there are plenty of people who are only now getting into Firefly thanks to the DVD's and word of mouth and have yet to watch the movie. Our friend Mr Reynolds for example.

I think that is totally awesome they should totally bring it back dont know y they cancled it in the first place. Just bought the series loved it and loved the movie its a different kinda story and great action and laughs. For those who talk bad about this show dont know what they are talking about.
