Kiss Kiss Bang Bang DVD disappoints

KissKissBangBang_Poster.jpgKiss Kiss Bang Bang was a great movie, and I think those who put it down haven't really given it a chance. Talking of which the upcoming specifications for the DVD release are doing just that.

2.40:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
English and French Dolby Digital 5.1
Spanish Dolby Surround
English, French and Spanish Subtitles
Long Shadows Sharp Tongue: A Noir Documentary
Gag Reel
Theatrical Trailer

That's your lot according to Movies Online. Quite frankly that's pathetic, and it means one of two things.

They are gauging the sales to see if a "Directors\Special\Anniversary* Edition" (*delete as applicable) could make them some return, or they just want to bury it and move on. Personally I plump for the first option, so there's no way I'm going near it other than a rental to watch it again. Do you think they're setting this up for a bigger release?

Give us a commentary, some decent behind the scenes, interviews with the cast, something better than a trailer and a gag reel (although that should be funny with the cast involved and the storyline!).

I missed it in the cinema so I was planning on either renting it or getting the DVD.
