Eli Roth directing Kings Cell

EliRoth.jpgStephen King's Cell marks the un-retirement of King, previously quoted as having written his last and moved on, and it may just be set to be the book that breaks the bad run of luck on the film adaptations of the famous horror writer. Why? Well, because of Eli Roth no less.

According to Empire Roth is being hired by Dimension to direct the movie adaptation. They, and I, hope that he's also set to adapt the story for the screen too.

Yet, I have my doubts. I'm an ex King fan and I stopped reading his work because it started following similar twists and trends, and I found myself following ground covered in other stories. This book doesn't seem much different with it's huge comparisons to The Stand. For a fuller and more interesting review, check out this amusing digested read by The Guardian.

Working with Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life was very demanding. He's so natural, so realistic, that I never knew whether he was talking to me or doing the scene.
