V for Vendetta update
Last night I saw V for Vendetta, and hopefully I'll have the review for you in a few hours, however in the meantime to keep you going there's an interview with Director James McTeigue and a huge update to the official site.
Thanks to Superherohype for the heads up on the update, and Time Out Film for the Q&A with McTeigue.
The site has interviews, photos, videos, the usual stuff, but as the news page says, read on if you've seen the movie only because here be spoilers.
The Q&A doesn't really say much other than confirming that he believes it's very true to the original story (see my review coming soon), favourite scenes, why he picked Portman, the usual fluff. Then it does come across the interesting question, why did James Purefoy get the boot?
...James [Purefoy] is a great actor, and I hope I work with him again at some point. You know, the mask is a difficult thing......I think the mask is a difficult thing. That's what I'd say about it.
Okay. So he couldn't act with the mask. Let's move on please. I don't really think this affects the audience in anyway, and has just fallen into the realm of gossip. Again I shall direct you to the coming review.
