Alias for teenagers from Disney

Alias.jpgThe book with the amazing title I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You is about a teenage female spy who hides her secret life from those around her, who is trying to find out who killed her CIA Agent Father. Sound similar?

As an aside it's also available in MP3 CD format, which I find quite unusual...but them I'm not into audio books I guess.

The story sounds amazingly like Alias, but for kids. Here's the blurb of the book from Empire:

Ally Carter’s book about a 15-year-old girl who lives a double life. In between studying at an elite spy academy in Washington and investigating the mysterious death of her CIA agent dad, she tries to juggle a relationship with a civilian boy who has no idea of her real identity.

That is surprisingly similar, or is it just me making the connection? I know I'd rather just see an Alias movie, or perhaps that is better left with the series. However this does seem like the current trend as we're already seeing the Stormbreaker film adapted from the book of a teenage male spy...

Not that unusual, actually, I've seen quite a few audiobooks in mp3 CD form. Considering how long audiobooks can be, it makes good sense too: if the audio version of the book runs ten hours (just as an example), better to have two mp3 discs than maybe eight to ten normal audio discs.
