Filmstalker: Cage and 50 Cent as boxers

Imagine the casting, Nicolas Cage and 50 Cent together in a boxing film called The Dance. Yes, it is true.

One has to ask as Cent risen so highly in the acting game, or has...well...from Empire comes the bizarre casting news. The Dance is...

...based on the life of prison boxing coach Billy "The Kid" Roth. The movie draws most of its inspiration – and title from a 2003 documentary about Roth by John Darling Haynes. Cage will play the former successful prizefighter who spent more than 40 years as a volunteer boxing coach in Louisiana prisons.

It appears that Cent will be the supremely promising boxer who Cage, as the trainer, thinks can go all the way, shame the guy is in prison for life. Stangely this is ringing some bells with me, has there not been another film where the promising sports person is in prison, and the guards accompany him to every game\bout\match? All that aside...Cage and Cent?!

Has anyone seen 50cent act? I haven't and as of right now most rap artists are horrible actors, they only play themselves!

Though for Cage, when you think about it he could be making a good move as he'll expose himself to a demographic that might not otherwise know who he is. It's not like he's afraid to make crappy movies either.
