Filming has begun on the movie adaptation of the Philip K. Dick novel Golden Man entitled Next which is starring Nicolas Cage, Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel.

Interesting cast list, and with Lee Tamahori directing we're definitely in for some thrills on screen. However it's the screenwriter that's a bit of an unknown here, Gary Goldman's most notable previous work is the superb Big Trouble in Little China. A wonderful movie, but not the same genre as Philip K. Dick.

Still, it looks very interesting, and I love watching Moore act. Can Cage recover himself after what is surely set to be one of the most disappointing remakes of recent times? Still, Dick provides strong source material, could it be set for another strong sci-fi thriller?
