Actually Captain Marvel is not that bad. He is a DC character and DC only has so many in their stable to make movies for.

Captain Marvel was a very popular book. It taps into the fantacy of many kids. This is because the character is just a young frail guy. After the wizard Shazam grants him his power, can Billy Batson turn into this "Superman" of a hero.

Now the bad guys are pretty cool. Most of them follow suit and use magic words to transform, but also there are many DC bad asses which can make cameo's.

The whole family ends up with this "Shazam" power and turns into the "Marvel Family", so I hope they don't take that direction.

The comics had been narrated to the reader by Billy, so it very well may be targeted towards kids and be much less than Batman/Superman type movies.

If they do take a more adult approach to this, they will certainly change the costume up a bit -that was always kinda gay- and the specail effects would have grand possabilities.
