Hot Fuzz casting updates
The wait for the movie Hot Fuzz is, well, getting me hot and fuzzy in anticipation, just to see what Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright have up their sleeves next. Well now we can see some of the expected cast for this film, and it's looking interesting.
From Film Ick comes the interesting cast list:
Apparently, Timothy Dalton is playing the manager of a supermarket and Edward Woodward is playing a local neighbourhood watchman. Jim Broadbent is a member of the police force in Sandford, the small town where most of the action goes down - and seemingly the father of Nick Frost's character! Apparently, Martin Freeman, Steve Coogan and Bill Nighy have pretty small roles, perhaps even cameo small.
That's one great list, and with the amazing Woodward alongside some other strong names of British cinema. Dalton, Broadbent...ermmm...Bailey! Joking aside it does look a good cast, and just checking out the IMDB listing makes me excited.
Do you think they'll live up to Shaun of the Dead, or will they be able to match that comic genius? I think they will, they've proved themselves already on Spaced. I'm just a little concerned about the pressure that will be on them to deliver...
