Jessica Simpson leads Baywatch

JessicaSimpson.jpgThe role occupied by Pamela Anderson in the TV series of Baywatch is to be taken by none other than Jessica Simpson in the film version. Not a huge surprise there, and is it really that interesting? Is anyone looking forward to this film?

From ninemsn comes the far from earth shattering news:

"Jessica really caught the eye in The Dukes of Hazard film last summer. She was the unanimous choice fpr the Baywatch role," a movie insider told Sky News.

Yeah, I'm sure there were three very good reasons, and one of them was her hair. Seriously though, how can they make a film out of this material?

Richard, remember when I mentioned this in one of your earlier articles ("Dallas Loses Director") about tv series getting a film treatment, you were right. Oh how I wish you were wrong even for once!

"Seriously though, how can they make a film out of this material?"

Well they made a very sucessful TV series out of it. I guess as long as people are dull enough to watch garbage they will keep on making it.

Yeah, but that was just soft porn...this will be...ahhh! I see your point Morbius!

Simone - I did see that, sorry should have mentioned that in the posting too.

Oy Rich! No apologies! The minute I heard about this, I was like, GRRRRRR Richard had his wish then! LOL

The way you two sound like with this news, dont let me see you in the cinema on the first day eh!

It does what it says on the tin.

Light hearted, over acted trash. But then it doesn't pretend to be anyting else.

I for one won't be watching it, but watch the box office for the tell tale success

Hey, if keeps Simpson out of real movie roles then I'm all for it.

Though it would be even better if Hollywood would stop making this trash and Simpson would stop getting any kind of movie attention.
