Filmstalker: Lake House Trailer - Reeves and Bullock

Back together again, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock star in The Lake House which is the remake of Il Mare. Now I haven't seen the original, but I did read about it through Twitch some time ago and it sounds a moving and emotional film. However can the Speed duo carry that off?

Here's what IMDB have to say about it:

A lonely doctor (Sandra Bullock) who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect (Keanu Reeves). When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late.

Actually I'm surprised, the trailer at Moviefone through Coming Soon looks quite good. Well, let me rephrase that, it's in their player which isn't that good, is tiny and poor quality. However, the story doesn't look half bad and the bits of Reeves they've picked look quite good. Once again though, there's a giveaway in the trailer, it's slight, but it's there...although I don't think it's a biggie.

What do you think? Have you seen the original, or in this case do you care? Is the excitement of Reeves and Bullock back together enough for you?

Mmm. I'm not sure excitement is the right word. I like Sandra Bullock but Keanu Reeves has never really impressed me, apart from The Matrix Trilogy where I think he was supposed to be acting like a robot. Now if it was Josh Hartnett instead.....

Ahhhhh Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, together again. I have always wanted to see them in a film together after the blockbuster success that was Speed. I loved the trailer and will definitely watch out for it in the summer.

Isn't it just romantic??? ;-)

There is a wonderful chemistry between Keanu and Sandra. There's no denying it. And it wasn't just the movie Speed. Did you see them together on the red carpet at the Oscars? They glow just being together. If they aren't good friends, then they are better actors than anyone gives them credit. Keanu is strong with Charlize Theron and does well with Rachel Weiss. But he and Sandra should definitely do more together... romantic comedies and such. Get him away from the action junk. He could very easily be our next Cary Grant who ages beautifully and perfect.

You know what Chris, youre absolutely right! They both look luminous together, and not all many actors and actresses have that good chemistry. I do like to see another Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan starrer, that's another couple who have this certain chemistry onscreen.

Saying that I cant wait for "Lake House" to come out!
