Pacino joins Ocean's Thirteen!

AlPacino.jpgWow, the news that Al Pacino is set to star in Ocean's Thirteen has pretty much knocked me over. I had thought this was a job for the boys until now, and despite Pacino's slightly faded gravitas, it's still a huge sign up for the film.

According to Variety through Coming Soon Pacino will be playing the owner of a casino.

Pacino joins the cast -- headed by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle and Bernie Mac -- and their franchise's new leading lady, Ellen Barkin...

...Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but Warner Bros. revealed that Pacino will be playing Willie Banks, the owner of a high-profile casino and hotel in Las Vegas.

Well I'm guessing that they rob his Casino, probably while Manilow is playing a concert. Still, I'm starting to warm to this, even if it is just to see this cast onscreen. The cast will undoubtedly be the draw for this one, is the signing as much a surprise to you?

I dont really care much about Clooney and company, now cared that much for the earlier Ocean films but now that Pacino is on board, this news just got me REALLY excited!

I pretty excited now, i was bummed when Ellen Barking got the role...I thought they could've done better...

but Pacino? is there better?

Exactly RC!!!!

You know RC, you don't have to plaster your site name over the entire comment, you've almost got more sitename than comment! There's a place for the URL - use it!

I am the only one that thought oceans twelve was a pile of enormous hippo poo?

based on that, whats the point of oceans thirteen?

and while i am moaning like a clapped out old car. the storyline of oceans twelve was unoriginial and only a few star performances saved it.

not excited about this one, except that i will be able to complain about how bad it is and do a great big told you so.

Actually Pablo, I wasnt that enthused about the Ocean films myself, but they were still fun to watch. I guess it was made to not to be taken so seriously as it was obvious that the actors were not even trying to act but was really goofing around, more like a home-movie of sorts. If Pacino decided to get on board to have fun, and earn some dough like everybody else, I dont see why not.

Simone, i agree that fun movies should be made, but sometimes the line between fun and stupid is in fact the same line.

possibly also that i just don't like this kind of film, but can appreciate that it does entertain people.

Still think it will be pile of stinky crap though.

Silly and stupid!!! But having Pacino in the cast will give it a bit of class, and acting power, I am just sure of it! I might even buy that DVD, I couldnt care less about the 2 earlier films.

What am I saying here, the film has not been even done! ;-)

Al Pacino and Andy Garcia reunited!!!

Michael and Vincent Corleone together again!
