Princess Bride gains new DVD release
I love The Princess Bride, really, it's so much fun, it's one of my most quoted films next to Predator and Airplane, go figure that one out if you will. So the news today has just made me extra happy as we discover that it's set for a new DVD release...in fact two new DVD releases.
From DVD Times comes the news of the two versions. They will be entitled The Buttercup Edition and The Dread Pirate Edition, one for the girls and one for the boys! The specifications are the same on both DVDs, and they do look attractive with double audio commentaries, including one from the author, and some interesting documentaries.
Take a look at the story for the full specs.
The Buttercup Edition will highlight the romance and fantasy of The Princess Bride and will appeal to families and female fans, while the Dread Pirate Edition will please the film's male and cult fans by embellishing its adventurous and comedic theme.Features on both editions include…
