Sharon Stone the singer?

Hard to believe, but after her superb turn in Basic Instinct 2 it's being reported that Sharon Stone wants to turn to a new career...as a singer.

Yes, please now lift your head off of the table. According to Virgin.net she's "intent" on a career in music:

The sultry star co-wrote the US hurricane relief song 'Come Together Now' last November, which featured an all-star ensemble in the recording studio, and is now keen to go solo.
Stone has apparently been visiting a Manhattan, New York, recording studio for the past year and has written several sings with collaborators which she intends to record herself.

I have no idea what to think about this. I'd be interested in hearing her singing voice, but I wonder if she should stick with the film career and try and pick better roles, or is the Instinct sequel a sign of her struggle to do so?

Personally, I've never been a fan of Stone, but who knows maybe she can sing? Then again, even if she can maybe she should opt for the theatre and not the recording studio. It'd be interesting to see if people would be interested and if her stuff would be good enough to buy. I doubt she'd sing anything I'd want to listen to, but that doesn't mean other people wouldn't.
Okay - I'll stop rambling now.....

I have got nothing personal against Ms Stone, I have seen her films pre and post Basic Instinct and she was actually quite good in them. I saw her promise as a sexy star in He Said She Said, where she played one of Kevin Bacon's girlfriends- remember that Rich?

Id like to see her do a proper film where her acting range can be seen and if she can indeed carry a tune, well why not, it may be a good career change for her, who said you should stop trying things once youre in your 40's, after her divorce she is obviously keen on reinventing herself again. I would advise her to choose good supporting and more character driven roles where the meat of most acting come from.
