Still seems way early to hear anything about the coming Simpsons film, but we are, and in the form of some of the cast and crew announcements. I wonder if this will keep up for the next year?

From The Age through CanMagcomes the announcement:

...the writing crew for The Simpsons Movie will include Groening, Brooks, Jean, Scully, Ian Maxtone-Graham, George Meyer, David Mirkin, Mike Reiss, Matt Selman, John Swartzwelder, and Jon Vitti - all series veterans...the producers will be James L Brooks, Matt Groening, Jean, Scully and Richard Sakai...

The series' regular voices of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Pamela Hayden and Tress MacNeille will return.

Guest starring in the movie will be US lawyer Erin Brockovich, who had a film made about her, British actress Minnie Driver and Albert Brooks, Fox said.

Awww, so does that mean no Kidman? Hardly, we have a whole year of Bond-type speculation to get through, and don't tell me that in a Simpsons film they're only looking at three cameos?

They go on to reveal the director will be David Silverman again from the series, but also notably the co-director from Monsters Inc..

No real surprises here to be honest, it's the Simpsons team, transferred to the film.
