The first few images for Skinwalkers are online and although they aren't showing any creature effects as yet, they are giving away some of the feel of the film.

The plot for Skinwalkers sounds a little like a mix mash of a few other films of late, but it still carries a lot of interest, and especially with the talent of James Isaac directing, Isaac gave us some great effects on eXistenZ, but so far his directorial duties have only stretched to Jason X. James DeMonaco is onboard as a writer who brought us the excellent script for The Negotiator. So feeling are mixed as to how this could turn.

The blurb over at IGN tells us what we need to know.

The quiet town of Hugenot is about to become not so quiet. You see, more than a few of its citizens are lycanthropes known as Skinwalkers. And Skinwalkers run in packs, bound by bloodlines and beliefs. One side believes in the ancient prophecy of a half-blood who will lead them into the future and stave off extinction. And the other believes in thriving by defending their current way of life in Hugenot. At the center of the conflict is Rachel's (Mitra) son, 13 year-old Timothy (Knight); who, for the first time, will transform into a werewolf upon the next full moon. The town's battle for the possession of Timothy will determine the future of the Skinwalkers.
