Vin Diesel's Hannibal is being made
I seriously can't believe that the Vin Diesel project Hannibal is getting made, but it sounds like it is and has just been assigned a location in the Dominican Republic.
I always say that there's a lot more talent to Diesel than we've seen, and not just in front of the camera, and this was before Sidney Lumet signed him up. So I'm hopeful for this project, and keen to see him in more dramatic roles.
According to SouthFlorida.com:
Vin Diesel has chosen the Dominican Republic as a location for his movie "Hannibal," about the 3rd-century conqueror who led an elephant-riding army across the Alps in an assault on Rome......The crew of "Hannibal" will film in the Caribbean nation for a month, Juan Carlos Benzant, a producer with the Dominican company Trabucazo Films, said Tuesday. Scenes will also be shot in Spain and California.
Who'd have thought it would make it this far? Well here's to him, and here's hoping that his real talent gets a chance to shine through during the film.
