Babel clips online

The upcoming Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt starrer Babel has been getting extremely positive comments over at Cannes this year, and now there are some clips online.

Frankly the clips over at Allocine through Jo Blo aren't that amazing or insightful for the movie itself, but each shows a small part of the three different stories the film looks to, each of which is connected to the other by a single event.

I watched these and I'm none the wiser. Sure it looks interesting, but there's nothing new here to make me want to see it more. I'm already intrigued by the plot outline and the line up of stars, which doesn't end at the two big names above.

Cate seems to be a hit and miss actress for me. and well mr pitt barely classifies as one.

it will be a hell of a director that can make this work. will wait and see the film before i pass judgement.

I haven't watched the clips (I'm in a lazy mood today) but from your basic outline Richard, it sounds a bit like 21 Grams given the different stories linked together by a single event. I guess you could also say that's been done in Pulp Fiction and Syriana and others...

Turns out Babel is directed by THE SAME GUY who directed 21 Grams. Damn I'm good!

The thing is I like Blanchett, but not Pitt, now I have to sit through this film with him there, or not.
