Christian Alvart, who wrote and directed the stunning Antikörper (Antibodies), is in talks to direct the horror Case 39 already starring Renée Zellweger.

From Variety through Coming Soon.The film is about a social worker who rescues an abused ten year old from her parents, only to find out later that she is not all that she appears to be. It doesn't sound anything amazing, but if you have seen Antikörper then you will be excited to see this.

I had the pleasure of seeing Antikörper (review) and hearing from Alvart at the EIFF 2005, and I was amazed. That movie is superb, and his attitude towards filmmaking was very strong, personal and quite inventive. I'll be really interested to see what he makes of this movie.

Antikörper is set for release on 31st October in the UK. I recommend it.
