Flushed Away trailer online

FlushedAway.jpgThe trailer for the new Aardman film Flushed Away, which combines the magic of both the computer animation of Dreamworks with the real life magic of Aardman, is now online.

The film is due in November and the trailer can be caught in varying formats over at Coming Soon [QT:S:M:L:XL::WMV:S:M:L:XL]. It stars a great mixture of names from Jean Reno to Ian McKellen, and from Hugh Jackman to Bill Nighy. It looks set to be a cracking film.

I was concerned that the computer animation side would overpower the magic that is Aardman, but I'm not so sure now. What do you think?

The little bits I've seen elsewhere suggest they've tried to at least capture the look of their plasticine characters with the digital animation. I can understand their reasons for going digital this time (i.e. because some of the effects they were going for this time round simply weren't possible otherwise), though I'm happy they're going back to using actual models after this one. I liked being able to see the fingerprints on the models in the Wallace & Gromit movie.

EXCELLENT!!! I love it!!! If its out in November, Casino Royale has got some competition!

Talking films are a very interesting invention, but I do not believe that they will remain long in fashion.
