New Cars trailer

The new animated movie from Disney, Cars, is certainly hitting top gear on the marketing highway, and now we have a second trailer to enjoy more footage well before this long awaited movie.

The trailers are all over at Yahoo Movies, and for ease you can grab them through Cinema Blend [QT:XL:L:M:S:WMV].

Again, I can't watch it from work, but I'm dying to see this. The idea of attaching personalities to cars is just perfect, and something that we all do anyway...but will it be any good?

I've got to admit, from seeing the first trailer before even knowing about Cars (I either saw it on the DVD or at the screening of The Incredibles) I wasn't taken by it. Don't know why, can't rationalise it.

The hype is passing me by completely as a result.

Of the footage that i've seen, this looks like a good fun movie.

Think it will be a 3 stars though.

OK, having said that, I've just been to Pixar's site. This is a VERY ironic trailer.

We could boast we have the best cars in the world...
Won more awards than any other manufacturer...

American production, remember.

But our cars speak for themsleves...

And the first to speak is a VW. German, at last check. It appealed to my sense of humour.

My 3 year old boy is unbelievably excited about Cars. I can't say as I'm interested beyond seeing a Pixar creation, but man is he ready for it. Had to put the first trailer on the Myth box so we could watch it every now and again. Guess I'll be doing the same with this one.

And, yeah, I'm a terrible parent...my kid watches movies. ;->
