Nora Jones defended by Director
Wong Kar-Wai has defended his decision to cast Nora Jones in his new film My Blueberry Nights alongside such actors as Jude Law, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris and Rachel Weisz.
According to the comments from Digital Spy she was the perfect choice, and he defends that choice strongly.
"I think she's suitable for acting. This is instinct. It's like how I felt that Faye Wong could act when I first saw her a few years ago. There's a very special aura."
Wong did prove his choice right, can Jones? I would presume that he's screen tested her and to cast her in the lead with all those names above playing around her, you'd have to think that she did well. Wouldn't you? That said if you were one of these actors would you be feeling a bit concerned, or perhaps a bit put out by this decision. I think it's a brave move to stand next to these guys, perhaps it will be the best thing for her acting career.
