Pirates porn film with no porn!

Pirates_Porn.jpgFor those of you who don't know Pirates is perhaps the biggest and most expensive porn film to date starring some huge names in the Adult industry. It's won many an Adult Video (it's a throwback term) Award and is rated highly. Apparently so highly that an R rated version is to be released. Now, again for those of you who don't know, that means there will be no ponrographic elements and it will be deemed a mainstream movie.

The story comes from Cinematical who suggest this is the opposite way around for most mainstream movies, don't they release an uncut special edition? This one is going to be a porn film that's going to release a special edition with huge cuts, some 47 minutes out of 127 minutes total.

Now, saying that, it's not really that much is it? So perhaps there's are a lot of acting and story? We're led to believe there is. Very amusing indeed. First they release the uncut Special Edition, then you get the fully cut version. Either the mainstream has the model very wrong or the Adult Industry really does have it very right! Could this really be a good movie without the adult part?

Man, there goes the adult industry pushing the envelope again.

There has to be a ton that the mainstream movie industry could learn from them, and I dont mean just "Let them try it first and then we'll do it". These guys should be headhunting whoever is marketing these things and pushing the film industry just as hard.

I mean, if you take away re-formatting, what new ideas has the mainstream industry given us lately? Spielberg and Lucas talk about their "Revolution" but do nothing noticeable to change the delivery of the medium. Porn Studios take chances.

þet is so osom

Yeah, the second Pirates movie is out too and they are releasing a porn-less version of it as well. You know, cause it's really all about the acting...teehee...

Yeah, the question is could the edited version really hit the mainstream? If not it isn't really worth it.
