Interestingly Spike Lee hasn't chosen his next film to direct, but in the meantime he's rewriting a script that was once pegged for Forest Whitaker and then Will Smith, shame that Whitaker isn't still attached particularly as Lee is writing now.

I didn't think that Inside Man was that great a movie, I thought it was okay but it didn't surprise or dazzle me and I was surprised at how mediocre it was for a Lee film. So it'll be good to see if he comes up with something stronger in his next movie, and if he's writing this could we see him directing too? Especially with the very interesting one liner on the plot from Variety through Coming Soon:

The story concerns a man who sells chunks of his life in an attempt to relive and change the worst day of his life.
