Star Trek rumours
The rumours about the next Star Trek movie are going to be coming out hard and fast now because all the Star Trek fans are going to be dying to know what is going to happen to their beloved characters, particularly if they've just seen M:I:III. Now there's just the faintest of hints at the storyline.
Over at IESB, through Cinema Blend, they have a video interview with Greg Grunberg, long time friend of J.J. Abrams, and he's talking if Abrams isn't.
Greg Grunberg has admitted Kirk and Spock will be involved in the movie in re-cast, younger roles.
If he's right then the storyline is looking back, but from what has been said before it's not at the Academy days. Considering it's not even been written yet I think the whole plot speculation is a bit early. However signs are looking toward a prequel, just not as early as was first thought.
I'm excited about Abrams applying his magic to the series though, regardless of what current fans might think. I can see something more akin to Undiscovered Country (my personal favourite) over others in the series. Something with depth, meaning, real world relevance and some strong characterisations. Bring it on.
