Thurman in romantic comedy

UmaThurman.jpgUma Thurman is announced to star in a romantic comedy called The Accidental Husband. I really hope this isn't setting a trend for her.

Two writing teams penned the screenplay: Mimi Hare and Clare Naylor, and Kristen Buckley and Brian Regan (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days)...

...The story revolves around a psychologist who gets engaged but then learns she is already married. Tracking down the rogue husband, she finds she's conflicted about which man to remain with.

Comes the news from Variety through Coming Soon.

It sounds total drivel, another finger deep plot for cheap wash over you entertainment...let's hope that Thurman has this in mind merely to help get other more interesting and challenging projects off the ground. Romantic comedies merely there as vehicles for big stars are something I have had just about enough of.

A romcom isn't new ground for her - "The Truth About Cats & Dogs", . Maybe that trend is a little closer after all?

SNORE!

This sounds like utter crap. She needs to get back on board with Tarantino, and FAST!

Granted, My Super Ex-Girlfriend looks kinda funny, but I really hope she doesn't continue in RomCom's. I thought she was brilliant (and gorgeous) in Pulp Fiction.

We need more serious Uma!

She was also in "Prime" opposite Meryl Streep which I thought was really good.

At least the old moguls had the courage of their convictions and the authority to act on them. Today they're terrified of making decisions. You have to have eight meetings even to order the toilet paper.
