United 93 screening
I've just returned from a screening of United 93 over at the Omni Vue, and without giving too much away before writing the review I can safely say it was not an easy viewing.
It's tough and very emotional, and if it doesn't affect you on then you were either off the planet at the time or you have no feelings. I was close to tears on a number of occasions and came out of the cinema in an extremely sombre mood, and I still am despite listening to upbeat music all the way home. Mind you the first track on my player as I put the headphones on was Live with Overcome, a song that was a tribute for those who died on that day, some amazing coincidence indeed.
I have to say one thing to lighten the mood though, at one of the dramatic moments you see a passenger for the first time and I thought, my lord, it's Sledge Hammer. Yes, David Rasche is in this film as well as The Sentinel. Good to see him in some big titles...and that nicely broke the mood.
So I'll cover the news stories and then get to work on that review for you.
