Bruce Lee martial arts musical?!

BruceLee.jpgBelieve it or not there is a Bruce Lee musical in the works featuring some excellent martial arts action.

From Breaking News comes the bizarre story:

Tony-winning Chinese-American playwright David Henry Hwang is planning to stage a musical based on the life of late martial arts star Bruce Lee, a newspaper reported today. Hwang said the idea had been approved by Lee’s family and he aimed to stage the show in 2008, the South China Morning Post reported...

...Hwang is best known for his play M. Butterfly, about the affair between a Chinese transvestite and a French diplomat, which was remade into a Hollywood film starring John Lone and Jeremy Irons.

Sounds quite strange, but when you think about the moves of martial arts you could really see them brought to life in a musical because after all they are very flowing and quite dance like...although you could beat the other dancer to death in the process!

I'm not a huge fan of musicals, much less one of Bruce Lee. I'd prefer to see a live action, modern movie. What about you?
