Cameron's Project 880 casting

JamesCameron.jpgA casting call has been issued for James Cameron's Project 880. The film takes him back to happy grounds, science fiction.

The casting call is over at MCN through Coming Soon, and the storyline goes a little like this...

In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.

There's casting for quite a number of characters which you can see over the page, I shan't include the full biography of each as you can see them over at MCN and there are some potential spoilers. Location will be L.A. and cast start dates are November 2006 with some in January 2007.

Just the blurbs are sounding interesting, and it's Cameron...what could be better?

JAKE (FORMERLY YOUNG MALE LEAD) Early- mid 20's. Caucasian. NEYTIRI (FORMERLY YOUNG FEMALE LEAD) 16 - mid 20's. Female. GRACE (FORMERLY THE MENTOR) There is no need to submit on this role. NORM (mid 20's) A scientist who has trained for years to come and work on Pandora with the Na'vi. AKWEY (mid to late 30's) Male Any ethnicity, including Caucasian. A Na'vi who has volunteered to work with the humans. TSU'TEY (early to mid 20s). Male. Any ethnicity, including Caucasian. A Na'vi who has been chosen to be Neytiri's mate. QUARITCH (40-50) Male American. A seasoned Marine Corps colonel who has come to Pandora to be in charge of the troops. SELFRIDGE (35-50) Station supervisor. Male. American. TRUDY CHACON 25-35. Female. Tough, serious, straight-laced ex-Marine pilot.

Oh if only I could act...and was any good...and lived in L.A...and was better looking...and had talent...and could beat everyone else...I would go for a role myself!

Ay Ay Ay!!! The plot sounds quite ridiculous!!!

It might get better Peter, patience.
