Diesel leaves Black Water Transit

VinDiesel-Kilt.jpgVin Diesel has apparently pulled out of his latest movie Black Water Transit, a film where he was set to star alongside Kevin Bacon, James Franco and Sophie Okonedo, in what sounds like a great thriller.

The blurb from ReelChicago through Coming Soon suggests that this was going to be a strong movie...

Based on the Carsten Stroud novel, this project follows the divergent agendas of crooks, cops and lawyers as they clash over a shipment of illegal firearms, mafia ties and a double homicide.

...and alongside Bacon, Franco and Okonedo, sounds like a corker, so why did he pull out? Could it be because his Hannibal project is kicking off and taking too much of his time? Or perhaps a Fast and Furious 4? I'd prefer to see the Hannibal project, but to be honest I think there's still a whole heap that this guy has to show the audience before then, and starring alongside these actors and pulling off the role would certainly raise his profile and give him more backing for the Hannibal project.
