Casting is almost complete for the direct to video\DVD travesty of The Dukes of Hazzard 2, and it doesn't seem pretty.

Moviehole have the casting update:

Maxim model April Scott (whose biggest claim to fame seems to be as either 'model' on "Deal or No Deal" or 'Girl in Bikini' on an episode of TV's "Entourage") has snagged the much coveted role of Daisy Duke...

...joined by newcomer Randy Wayne ("Jack & Bobby"), who has been enlisted to take over where Sean William Scott left off, playing Luke Duke in prequel, and Willie Nelson, who will be reprising his role as Moonshine swiggin' Uncle Jesse in the film.

They're still looking for a new Boss Hogg and Bo Duke...perhaps, since they seem to be taking anyone, you can have a go? Frankly this seems like dire news to me. Thank the lord it's going direct to hell.

Boss Hogg has been announced, and replacing Burt Reynolds in the role is Chris McDonald according to Variety through Moviehole.

Better casting? I don't see it on any of these roles to be honest, not that the original cast was great!
