Harry Potter in Queen scene
Harry Potter is taking to the stage for the Queen's 80th birthday party, in a new scene that will be specially written for the birthday show.
According to the BBC it's going to be big:
Radcliffe and Watson, Hermione in the Harry Potter films, will appear in one scene with fellow stars Rupert Grint, who plays Ron, and Matthew Lewis, best-known as Neville.Comedian Harry Hill has been cast as an owl keeper at Hogwarts, the fictional school of magic which they all attend.
The exact storyline is being kept secret but the script was written by children's author and playwright David Wood. Actor and author Julian Fellowes has been the executive script editor, with Sir Trevor Nunn as stage director.
Interestingly J.K. Rowling is nowhere near this scene writing, perhaps she's too busy with the next book?
In a great move though two thirds of the audience are children who won tickets to the event in some form of ballot...exactly what kind of ballot we don't know. Are you one of those kids? Are you heading out there? If so let us know and give us the inside scoop on the event. More good news is that it will be televised on the BBC.
