John Powell has announced that he's slated to score a movie that's in the preliminary stages, and that movie is the adaptation of the graphic novel Watchmen.

Yes, it seems as though there's going to be another attempt at the movie, if we go by his MySpace entry posted just three days ago via SuperHero Hype, then it's definitely a new concern and no just a follow on from the previous attempt at the movie. Here's what he said:

The second project is still in preliminary stages. It is entitled The Watchmen, based off the famous graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. No release date has been set for the film, but I'll be sure to update you if you're terribly curious.

Yes we're more than curious! So we may yet see Watchmen...but in what form, and who else is still attached?
