Miami Vice gets poor press

MiamiVice_Poster.jpgMiami Vice has been receiving some poor press before it's even been released, two early reports sugget that it's not a great movie and now Fox News are reporting that it's not a great film. The outlook is beginning to look a little bleak.

From Rope of Silicon comes the story that links to a couple of early reviews, one of which is over at Jo Blo. Both suggest that the film isn't currently that great, and are quite disappointing, yet these are early treatments and there's often a long way to go to the finished product.

Still, Brad tells us that he too is getting slightly worried about the word on the movie, as am I. He also shares his hopes that followed the excellent Collateral, it had the same look and feel as Vice seems to promise, and that was utterly fantastic. Perhaps Michael Mann is a wizz in the editing room and can turn this around, often early screenings can have a different feel and story progression to the completed work.

Here's hoping, my doubts for Vice have been rising with all the negative press coming from it, yet I still remain hopeful of Mann's talent to bring us something as gritty as Collateral.

Dear boy, you look absolutely awful. Why don't you try acting? It's so much easier.
