More X-Men spin off movies

X-Men3.jpgThere's more than just the Magneto and Wolverine X-Men spin off movies on the cards and the Production President for Fox is revealing a couple more characters they are looking at, and to me this doesn't sound like they're identifying the most attractive stories from the franchise.

"We've also talked about doing something on the kids in (Professor X's) school, focusing on their lives, and less of a global adventure for the team," says Hutch Parker, production president of 20th Century Fox.

The studio is also exploring a movie with Three Kings director David O. Russell based on the character of Emma Frost, a sexy mutant telepath who can transform her skin into diamonds. She is an X-Men comics regular but was not featured in the movies.

Story from USA Today through Coming Soon.

Interesting, I don't really think that they've sold that one to me. A mutant that has skin turning into diamonds...perhaps I just don't know the character but it doesn't just sound that exciting. Oh, I forgot they've got the word sexy in there, oh well, let's make it then!

I think this is more evidence that they are focussed on chasing spin off stories rather than a direct sequel right now.

Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club? So that means Mastermind should be there? Not bad.

Well I think a story with Beast Vs. Mr. Sinister would be fun.

Also a few good low key characters would be Jubile, Juggernaught, Gambit, young Profesor X, Angel and I'm shure there are more.

I want an Apocolyps movie. The Age of that is.
