Mummy 3 details
Back in March the story broke about The Mummy 3 and word was that it was set in 1940's China, new Chinese Mummy, but possibly the same old cast. Now that seems confirmed, alongwith a little more plot detail as well as the word that Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will be back.
From Freeze Dried Movies through Moviehole come the little additions.
Though O'Connell (Fraser) and Evelyn (Weisz) are still very much in the picture, it'll be up to their grown-up son, Alex, to do the Mummy mashing.
Oh dear, there's alarm bells ringing on that single phrase, and they are confirmed when you look at the script review over at IESB. Kick starting the franchise, ridiculous dialogue which is over explanatory and simplified as well as quips to the camera, huge voiceover explanations, poor characterisation, it goes on.
Frankly it looks like a disaster, so I expect rewrites before it comes to the screen. If not I think, according to IESB anyway, we're looking at an awful movie.
