Nicholson and Freeman as road buddies
What a piece of casting genius, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman together onscreen as road buddies, how superb would that be? Well it's happening in a film called The Bucket List, although it's slightly different than expected.
The title, according to Variety through Coming Soon, is slightly darker than you'd think, and with that we could well expect some comedy:
Written by Justin Zackham, The Bucket List refers to a wish list that two terminally ill men try to fulfill before each kicks the bucket. After they break out of a cancer ward, they head off on a road trip with an itinerary that includes racing cars, eating giant plates of caviar and slinging poker chips in Monte Carlo.
You know, that sounds superb, and filled with ideas which the audience will easily connect with, I can imagine this situation, and what a great tale of chasing what you want so you won't end up with any regrets. However you can also tell that it will be an emotional journey, and not just because of the story...Rob Reiner is set to direct. This just gets better, how good is this sounding? I'm definitely keeping my eyes on this one.
