Rockstar, the company behind the superb Grand Theft Auto series have produced a documentary called Sunday Driver about the art of low riding, an act that is featured throughout the GTA series on the typical low riders.

Low riding is where the suspension is modified to make the car ride as low to the ground as possible and allow them to be pumped up at some speed, enabling them to literally bounce. You know what I mean, you've seen them either on television, film or in real life.

Here's the story according to Method Shop:

...you'll find yourself quite easily forgetting that some of these colorful, humorous characters were once criminally violent gang-banging members of the notorious West coast street gang called the Crips. Low riding, however, has literally and figuratively been their vehicle away from such civil clamor and confusion...

...Documentary filmmaker, Carol Strong, provides an intimate look at some of the key figures and innovators of this remarkable subculture with an unusual candid eye. It isn't long before you realize the depth of low riding history, as told by the members of the oldest African-American low riding club known as the “Majestics”

It does sound interesting, and with me being a bit of a car nut (as well as a GTA fan) I think I'd be interested in this film. Cars aside, the human look at the changing lifestyle of these ex-gang members also sounds as though it would make for a strong viewing.
