Reports are that Sony have managed to gain the US distribution rights for Zhang Yimou’s follow up to House Of Flying Daggers, Curse Of The Golden Flower. Hopefully the rest of us won't be far behind.

From Empire comes the good news.

Yimou is filming right now on the tale that stars Chow-Yun-Fat and Gong Li as a king and queen who endlessly battle for superiority over each other and their three sons.

Of course there's no word on release for the rest of the world, but can you really see Sony not releasing it elsewhere? Honestly? I am genuinely excited for this film, Daggers was a great movie, and Ying xiong (Hero) was just superb. More of the same, a big yes from me.
