This has to be the best rumour I've heard in some time, and frankly I really don't believe that Steven Spielberg is even remotely considering a Warcraft movie, perhaps his production company is thinking about producing one, but I'm sure he's not come through with the idea himself. Still, that's what the rumour states.

This seems rather odd because, not only is it a bit much for Spielberg to have what is now four projects slated for the next few years, a video game adaptation (which, as a genre, have yet to claim any kind of mainstream prestige) does not seem like the type of movie for a director of his status to even consider, let alone pile on top of other stuff he has in the works.

Which is just a perfect comment, it just doesn't work for me. There's been no news since until today when Movies Online reference a story on Rotten Tomatoes which cycles back to Jo Blo and Variety. Rumour circling I think, but still, it's a good one.

If you're to think of all the videogames out there, the ones with possible plots that would interest this prolific director, which would you have chosen. For me certainly not Warcraft. To be honest Halo would have been a better choice for him. Let's face it though there's no chance of this happening.
