Tale of Two Sisters remake

ATaleofTwoSisters.jpgAnother Asian remake hits the press with A Tale of Two Sisters being made by Dreamworks with brothers Tom and Charlie Guard in talks to direct.

The Dreamworks version will follow a similar vein, the blurb comes from The Hollywood Reporter through Coming Soon:

...modern-day teenage sisters Anna and Alex Rydell who return home from a mental hospital only to find their recovery unraveling because of a cruel stepmother, clueless father and a lingering ghost.

Another remake of a perfectly good movie. Are the west not capable of producing new and original horror scripts, not even horror, just any movie? Why does the plundering of foreign cinema have to go on? Couldn't they just take the original over and release it? Who are the real pirates of film here?

I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from the Indians. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.
