Top Movie Mistakes

Cameo-Screen1_Poster.jpgMovie mistakes are odd, sometimes they are an amazing find and provide a good giggle or a moment of "look at that!", or they can ruin a moment in a film and you can't believe what's just appeared on screen. Now if only someone listed those biggest moments and rated them...

...Well they have. Over at Movie Mistakes they have their top list of stupid mistakes in films.

1 - Commando After chasing down Sully, the yellow Porsche is totally wrecked on the left side, until Arnie drives it away, and it's fine. 2 - Star Wars When the stormtroopers break into the control room, the stormtrooper on the right of the screen hits his head on the door frame. On the DVD release they've added a thump when he hits it.

I'm surprised at that number one choice, in fact I'm surprised at a lot of the entries in the list, I think that maybe there haven't been many people voting on the site of late. However there are newer movies in the top ten...

3 - The Rocky Horror Picture Show 4 - Charlie's Angels 5 - Gladiator 6 - The Matrix 7 - Spider-Man 8 - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 9 - Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 10 - Titanic

To be honest some of these are insanely picky, like the Terminator one where the number on the side of a vehicle has changed. To me these aren't the fun ones of catching a mistake, the fun ones are like the gas tank in the Gladiator scene. Something so wrong that goes unnoticed for so long.

The top thirty can be seen on the Movie Mistakes page, what do you think, too picky?

These are always fun to find.

They did forget the scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, were Luke is climbing down from the X-wing and calls Carry by her real name.

In T-2 when Arnie walks into the bar naked a biker puts a cigar out on his chest. In one shot you see the mark, in the next it's gone, and then it's back again.

Got any others you can think of.

In the first Blade during the part where Blade is getting his serum and the girl tries to escape, Whistler is holding Blade's hand and then leaves to chase her. When they cut back to Blade in the chair, Whistler's arm is still there. You can only see it in an anamorphic widescreen version, though.

Definitely some pickiness in those listed on the site.

Some of those are EXTREMELY picky.

I just saw this one the other day, even though I've watched this movie dozens of times and only noticed it this time because Jodie Foster points it out in the commentary:

At the end of Silence of the Lambs when Buffalo Bill is stalking Clarice in complete blackness, we see his POV of her through his night vision goggles. Raising his hand casts a shadow on her back - which, of course, it would never do if he were really looking through night vision goggles.

I never catch these mistakes even if I watch the movie several times. It´s either I am a dumb or I enjoy cinema. One of those, sure.

That means I better watch "A New Hope" this weekend again eh?
