1408 gains Cusack and Walsh

StephenKing.jpgThe Stephen King short story adaptation 1408 now has John Cusack, Kate Walsh (from Grey's Anatomy) and Samuel L. Jackson.

The story is set to give us some superbly creepy horror, if handled right, and it could well be with Mikael Hafstrom, who brought us the rather good Derailed (review). From Empire:

About to start shooting here in the UK, the story follows a professional sceptic hired to debunk supposedly paranormal situations who gets more than he bargained for when he stays in the titular room and discovers true terror. Walsh will appear as his former wife.

Sounds a good tale and a lot of potential, and judging from the look of Derailed I do think this has a lot of hope. Plus it has Cusack, and who doesn't like him as an actor? King's films have always been hit and miss, but then when they are good, they are really good. Let's hope this one is, it seems that King's adaptation time is now.

How many times do I have to say it? Cusack is the man! Love him, love him, love him!

Fingers crossed for this one. Haven't seen Derailed yet but it was recommended to me by a friend so I'll check it out....

Then we have Samuel L.Jackson and John Cusack. I can't wait to see their pairing on-screen.
