Del Toro to direct Deadman

GuillermodelToro.jpgGuillermo del Toro is in talks to direct a superhero story that has some originality, called Deadman.

Deadman is the story of an acrobat who is murdered and then granted the power to possess living beings by a Hindu goddess in order to hunt down the killer. As he does so he helps people with their problems. It's a twist on the Grasshopper or Knight characters but with superpowers.

Seriously though, this one sounds like it has a lot of meat to get laid into, especially if del Toro gets his teeth into it. From Yahoo News:

The hero was created in 1967 by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino and is known for a run of issues by artist Neal Adams.

Del Toro will produce the project with Don Murphy and Susan Montford. A search for writers is under way.

Now this one I am interested in. Let's hope GDT gets the job, the next stage is seeing who will write.

I have read a couple of Deadman comics, and it´s really interesting. It´s a superhero "fugitive". Del Toro, at least, always shows love for everything he does.
