Dakota Fanning is playing a part in a film called Hounddog which calls for her to act well beyond her years and play a role that most will find incredibly disturbing. Although the reports suggest it's going to be much stronger than the film dictates, you are left wondering how much this could affect the twelve year old.

According to Digital Spy she is set to play a girl who is raped. Her agent says that the entire film is a challenging one for her, and how proud she is of Fanning carrying this role through.

She's an incredible actress, but I just sometimes wonder how these young actors and actresses can carry out such demanding and clearly adult roles. I know she's only acting, but for a child it must be even harder. Mind you, if anyone could carry it off it would be Fanning, after all she's already a stunning actress who could easily compete with her peers
