For me Renny Harlin marks unsubtle, in your face, action and horror. Just a look at his Exorcist prequel (review) is enough evidence of that. Now his next film The Covenant is getting close, and there are some images online.

You can see them over at Jo Blo. They don't really give us anything, although it is obvious that there's going to be withcraft, teenagers, and some special effects to be had. A typical Harlin nightmare.

The blurb tells us that there are four young men who "belong to a supernatural legacy" have to stop the evil force they released into the world years before. There's also another thread running through there of them having to retain their secret while, I assume, others begin to get suspicious.

I'm not particularly looking forward to this. The writer doesn't look a great bet, Harlin certainly isn't and the tale sounds very similar to other stories we've heard before...perhaps a miss I think.
