Now I realise that some of you may not know the name Shawn Otto, however he is responsible for the script for the excellent House of Sand and Fog, a film that if you haven't seen yet then you really, really need to. He's now set to write a script for an Iraqi War drama which looks through the eyes of a downed female helicopter pilot.

Variety through Coming Soon tells us that the story will tell the tale of the woman after she is shot down and how she is racing against time to find her way home to her daughter.

Okay, that last tie in sounds a little stock, but looking at the write up of Sand and Fog makes you think along similar lines, until you see the movie. It's powerful, original, and quite moving, so I'm fascinated to see what Otto can produce and if it can be brought to the screen in the same powerful manner.
