I am not going to say anymore who I thought would play a good joker. I'll just wait, I am sure Nolan will get the right actor to do it.

I'll tell you someone who could do it:

Hugh Laurie or Hugo Weaving.

oddly enough, both are Hughs'.

If you have doubts as to whethar Laurie can be meniacal, just check his body of work. Dude has serious range.

There is no doubt that the sequel to Batman Begins is going to be huge. I'd almost go as far as to say that two further sequels are guaranteed as opposed to just one.

My preference would be to have The Joker in part 2, but continuing into part 3 also. They could certainly introduce a second villain into the sequel, perhaps The Penguin and have him as the "main" villain, with The Joker as the MAIN villain of the story arc. The leader, the kingpin so to speak, the man who pulls all the strings.

The intensity in that final showdown between Batman and Joker at the end of a 3rd movie would be SO much greater if they could build it up throughout two movies as opposed to just one. Anyone agree?

As for who to play The Joker, my.....

It has to be someone that can knock it right out of the park. There's going to be the inevitable comparisons with Jack Nicholson's Joker, but they need someone who could do psychotic, crazy and sadistic like no other.

Going by the casting from Begins, I'd guess it's definitely goign to be a "name" actor. The casting for the first was generally good solid name actors surrounding Christian Bale who was probably one of the least well-known of the main cast.

It's a really tough pick, but I'd like to see Johnny Depp or Sean Penn having a stab at it. Maybe even Adrien Brody for the iconic Joker "look" (nose)
