News is out that Angelina Jolie is to star in Kung Fu Panda as the martial arts master, Tigress.
This adds to an already great looking cast, with Jack Black as the lead, Dustin Hoffman, Ian McShane and Lucy Liu.
The story comes from USA Today through Coming Soon.
There are tons of animation films on the way, as the previous post showed, and this one looks just as strong as the rest. Long may this continue.
Read the first sentence of that article and almost passed out with excitement - Angelina as a martial arts instructor - fantastic!! Turns out to be a voice performance only, damn. Oh, well being a devoted Jolie fan, I'll probably go see it anyway, plus the cast sounds great. But should a martial arts instructor role come up for a live action movie at some point in the future, perhaps casting agents could keep her in mind!
I would listen to her read the dictionary in German for two hours.
She was great in Shark Tale (which wasn't amazing but ok). Never have I ever been attracted to a fish. Oh what a strange mermaid/man child we would have.
